Pride Fall to the Giants

NASSAU COUNTY, FL., February 7, 2021 — The Pride get their first loss of the season, losing 132-100 to the Jacksonville Giants coached by Jerry Williams. “Tough loss for our guys but it was a great lesson. This game definitely lit a fire under us” said Coach Joshua. “With us being an extremely young team, with many players not too far removed from College, we have to understand being locked in mentally for 48 minutes of basketball” Coach Joshua expressed.

Coach Joshua gave credit to the Jacksonville Giants. “I think Coach Jerry Williams did a great job with his game plan. I did not anticipate them staying in zone defense as long as they did” said Coach Joshua. The Pride believe this was the game they needed to test strategic adjustments vs elite teams. The Pride were in good spirits after the game and are looking forward to this week’s practice as they prepare for their next game vs the St. Augustine Glory. “We will have the opportunity to redeem ourselves in two weeks when we travel to Jacksonville but lets take care of next week first” said Coach Joshua.
